Victor Mallet, former Reuters correspondent, author, and Financial Times senior editor, will be giving an an online talk entitled Far-Right France: Le Pen, Bardella and the Future of Europe. Marine Le Pen’s far-right Rassemblement National (RN) is by far the most popular political party in France today. Opinion polls suggest it is on track to win the next presidential and legislative elections in 2027 - something unthinkable only a decade ago. If it wins, it would have a profound impact on the European Union and probably on NATO as well.
