Thomson Reuters delays discretionary increases

Thomson Reuters has pushed back the effective date for those of its 60,000 employees receiving discretionary salary increases to 1 July from 1 April. Peter Warwick, chief people officer, sent a notice to all staff on Thursday.

The Newspaper Guild of New York, the union that represents some editorial staff in the United States, said it was scheduling a meeting with Warwick to discuss how the announcement affects its members. ■
