Thomson Reuters marks 15 years of F1 sponsorship

Thomson Reuters is celebrating its 15th continuous year of Formula One sponsorship at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone this weekend.

Its link with Williams Martini Racing makes it one of the longest serving team partners in Formula One team history and one of the longest serving sponsors in F1.

The celebrations include a new 15th anniversary Thomson Reuters logo which appears this year on the sidepod leading edge of the Williams Mercedes car - the same location that the Reuters logo first appeared on a Williams car in 2000.

David Craig, president of Thomson Reuters’ Financial & Risk division, said: “Formula One is a fast-paced, precise and technical sport in which high performance is driven by continuous innovation, critical information and insight. These values resonate well across our industry and this is why we are proud to make this 15th year in our relationship with Williams.”

Sir Frank Williams, team principal, said: “Long standing partnerships are hugely important to an independent team like Williams and we are extremely proud to have enjoyed such a strong relationship with a globally respected brand like Thomson Reuters. We’re really looking forward to hosting a number of special events over the course of the weekend to mark our decade and a half of collaboration.”
