David Viggers-key to Reuters multimedia success

Dave Viggers was a terrific photographer and editor and a fun colleague.

He played a key role in helping integrate pix and text in the early days - no easy task given many entrenched attitudes on both sides.

But he carried it off with warm collegiate vision and much humour. Reuters would not be such a multimedia success story without Dave’s boost. ■
