Thomson Reuters 'one of world's most admired companies'

Thomson Reuters is one of the world's most admired companies, receiving high marks for people management, social responsibility and global competitiveness but lower scores for long-term investment value and use of corporate assets, according to Fortune magazine.

The group was given an overall score of 6.6 out of 10. Fortune’s 2016 list includes 340 companies. Only the top 50 are ranked. Thomson Reuters is not among them. Among financial data services firms, the company ranks second behind Automatic Data Processing.

The list is topped by Apple, Alphabet (Google) and Amazon - for the fourth year. Fortune calls them a “new AAA standard in corporate America”.

The rankings are drawn from 1,500 companies and include the Fortune 1,000 which represents the United States’ 1,000 biggest companies by revenue, as well as non-American companies listed in the Fortune Global 500 database. ■
