Reuters names its third digital editor this year

Dan Colarusso, Reuters' global head of programming who has been given the additional title of executive editor of Reuters Digital, is the third person to hold that job this year. He will oversee the editorial work of Reuters.com and its local language websites.

Editor-in-chief Stephen Adler announced the appointment in an internal memo on Tuesday. It followed the resignation last week of Jim Roberts, who took the job in February. Prior to that, it was held by Jim Impoco, who left Reuters in January and was recently named editor of Newsweek.

Colarusso, pictured, was formerly an editor at Bloomberg TV, the New York Post and Conde Nast’s Portfolio.com. He joined Reuters in 2011. Adler said he will “continue his current responsibilities as global head of programming, which includes overseeing Reuters Insider and our consumer video offerings.” ■
