Terry Blunsum just got on with the job in a professional manner

I’m very sorry to hear of Terry Blunsum’s death. I knew him well from Cairo days. He had been one of the late Tom Little’s team at Regional News Services (RNS) and joined the Reuter team when it closed down in the aftermath of Egypt’s defeat by Israel in the Six-Day War.

Terry was never one to sing his own praises, but like so many old colleagues just got on with the job in a professional manner. I’m sorry to have been out of touch since leaving the Middle East myself although I know Terry had some health problems in recent years. A pity so many of us lose old friends after leaving the firm. ■
