More than 70 Reuterians and guests attended the 2017 Baron’s Bash, including three who came from abroad for the annual luncheon for former editorial staff in southeast London.

They were Jonathan Sharp (Hong Kong), Roy Gutman (Istanbul) and Evelyn Leopold (New York) who were singled out for special mention in welcoming remarks by Barry May.

Ill-health kept the event’s founder, Mary Norsworthy, and Rick at home. Bashers look forward to having them back in their midst next year for the tenth anniversary Baron’s Bash at Dulwich and Sydenham Hill Golf Club on Monday 19 March 2018. ■
