Talented boss

I was deeply saddened to read on The Baron of the death of Ibrahim Noori, my first bureau chief 42 years ago in Bahrain.
He was a talented boss from whom I learned a great deal about journalism and not least about the intricacies of Gulf politics.
He kindled an enduring interest in the Middle East.
He and his wife made us feel welcome in the then tiny Bahrain Reuters community.
My wife’s and my sympathies go out to Tehzeeb and family. ■
