Raising a glass to Douglas Learmond

I will raise a glass or two to Doug Learmond, gone too soon but an always convivial, helpful and professional colleague. The smiling photo in his obituary captures him perfectly for me. I recall the soft (but determined) voice, too, even as we “discussed” some commodities story where our views differed a little. He was, of course, the real expert, following on from Reg Watts before him. Condolences to his wife, Liz, from my wife, Janet, and me. ■
