Photo of Mountbatten-Windsor was historic and legitimate

I was interested to see that longstanding news gatherers felt that publishing the picture of Mountbatten-Windsor was wrong.

It was the great news picture of the night, used by every mainstream UK paper, and no doubt many others around the world.

It was taken legitimately on a public street outside a police station. He could have got himself into a van, or a vehicle with blacked out windows. This was a historic pic. At one point this person was second in line to the throne. No-one is that position has been questioned like this since Charles I. (If only we had a photo of that).

As for feeling sorry for him, if a tenth of the published stories about him are true, he is a dreadful man, and seemingly totally unrepentant. He allowed his daughters to be introduced to a convicted sex offender!
