John Chiahemen, pioneer

John Chiahemen was a pioneer, and became the most senior African journalist at Reuters. He was a very polished, well-grounded, and technically competent journalist who also had a strong background in television. He had a good memory for people, for what happened, and where. His ability to balance expectations with integrity was remarkable. More than a colleague, he was a dear friend. ■
