Covering the world's under-reported stories: Reuters or the Foundation?

The fact that Thomson Reuters Foundation’s global news service covers the world’s under-reported stories, defined as “women’s rights, anti-corruption, social innovation, and the human impact of climate change,” raises an intriguing question [Belinda Goldsmith becomes editor-in-chief of the Thomson Reuters Foundation].

If these matters, especially the human impact on climate change after last year’s allegations that managing editor Paul Ingrassia, a climate change sceptic, had slashed coverage of the issue, are under-reported, isn’t it the duty of Reuters general news service to rectify this omission, and not that of a specialised service? ■
