Banksy-A Colossal Waste of Resources

The Banksy story revealed some sleuthing skills of the Reuters correspondents involved - bravo.

But in the end it was a colossal waste of resources and more proof that Reuters, in its quest for the glitz and publicity that prizes can bring, values splashy and wordy features at least as much as the real-time journalism that markets and policymakers covet and pay for.

At a time when democracy and human rights are under threat, and the future of Ukraine -- the ostensible starting point for the piece -- is in the balance, Reuters opts for small potatoes.
