Am I The Only One Nauseated By That Picture?

I know there's nothing more annoying to incumbents than a bunch of carping "formers", but sometimes it's impossible to remain silent.

When I saw the picture of Andrew in the back of the car, this “former” was revolted by an outrageous invasion of privacy. What gutter press scumbags would sink so low, I wondered? I was horrified when I found the answer.

I hope you are going to record the fact that not all former Reuters’ journalists thought this was wonderful. To me, it was pure prurience. Andrew looked suicidal.

Don’t picture editors have a responsibility to think of consequences? It added nothing to the story. We all knew he was there. It’s not as though Andrew hasn’t had a huge catalogue of pictures taken of on-the-record humiliations.

Publishing this picture with its raucous rounds of self-congratulation shows the media will stop at nothing when victims can’t fight back. And I’m not a defender of royals.  ■
