Jane Moran, former Thomson Reuters information chief, joins Unilever

Jane Moran (photo), who managed the technology merger of Thomson and Reuters, is moving to Unilever as global chief information officer.

Moran joined Thomson Financial in 2004, becoming CIO of the merged group’s markets division in 2008. As Thomson Reuters global CIO from 2010 she was responsible for all business and back end systems. 

“I came to London in 2007 to assist with the merger; I was CIO for Thomson Financial at the time. I thought it would be for a year and I assumed I would be reporting to the CIO of Reuters,” she said of her move from the United States.

In 2012 she was identified by Women in Technology International as one of the ten most powerful women in technology. She left Thomson Reuters in March. ■
