That shares scam: me too

I too received a call a few weeks ago informing me that an institution of some kind was seeking to acquire my Thomson Reuters shares as part of a hostile takeover bid and offering me the princely sum of ''somewhere between £11 and £17 per share". Oh, and if I was interested I would also be required to place some funds into an escrow account as a token of my good faith or some such. The caller/salesperson said the reason why I had not seen anything about this takeover bid in the financial press was because it was still highly confidential at this stage. I think you can guess what I replied. ■
