Episodes in the Life of Brian

After a long evening, not especially notable for its abstinence, steered with great cheer through Tokyo by Brian after the Nagano Winter Games, not much time for sleep. Roused before dawn, off under the Digger's enthusiastic guidance to see strange and marvellous wonders of the deep unrolled at the Tokyo Fish Market. A couple of years later, Brian, brought in late in the day to pick up the Reuter Sydney Olympics advance operation, has carried the whole thing off with aplomb. His parting flourish, a cruise for us all round Sydney Harbour, and a memory of the Digger aboard, glass in hand, nonchalant as ever, smile as wide as Sydney Harbour Bridge. Episodes in this Life of Brian, a life for living. Thanks, mate. ■
