Chris Peterson: Good-humoured, professional and down-to-earth

I was extremely sad to hear the news and have very fond memories of working with Chris both here in London in recent years and also in the Paris bureau of the 1980s. Always good-humoured, professional and down-to-earth in the office, he was also great company at the Freres restaurant round the corner near the Palais Royal, where his anecdotes and reminiscences set the tone for many lively lunch conversations with the late Louis Marcerou and many others. My sympathy and condolences go to Mai and his family. We will miss him. ■
