Obituary: Elizabeth Hornung

Elizabeth Hornung (née Day) (photo), who worked for Reuters Economic Services in the 1960s and 1970s, has died, aged 66. She had been suffering from cancer.

Liz was a bright and very beautiful secretary who, apart from being very good at her job, brought joy to all through her bubbly personality, shrieks of laughter and beauty, writes John Ransom, with whom she worked. She also worked with David Ure and Mel Beiser.

Liz married a cardiologist, Rob Hornung, who pre-deceased her, and leaves two children, Ben and Tom, and two grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Friday 17 February at Caldy Church, The Wirral, at midday. Donations may be made to MacMillan Cancer Support, care of the funeral directors, Charles Stephens, Heswall, Wirral. ■
