Thomson family sells 1 million TRI shares

The Thomson family's holding company Woodbridge sold one million Thomson Reuters shares.

The transaction dated Tuesday 23 June was at an average price of C$48.15, for a total value of C$48,150,000.

Woodbridge, headed by Thomson Reuters chairman David Thomson, holds 55 per cent of the company’s shares. 

Among analysts who follow the stock, the consensus rating is Hold and the average price target C$50.40.

Thomson Reuters shares traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange closed at C$47.90, down 0.5 per cent, on Thursday. Their 52-week range is C$38.42 to C$53.00.

The company’s second quarter earnings are due to be announced on 29 July. ■
