Caroline Drees named world shaker

Caroline Drees, pictured, managing editor, Middle East and Africa, has been named one of 150 women “who shake the world”. The accolade was bestowed by Newsweek magazine.

Drees has worked for Reuters as a reporter, editor, and manager across the Middle East, Europe, and the United States for more than 15 years. She recently served as Middle East editor, Cairo bureau chief, and ran a collaborative project between Reuters and the UNDP to launch Iraq’s first independent news agency.
