More than 100 people attended the 2010 Baron’s Bash for former members of Reuters’ editorial department on Monday.

It was another triumph for Mary Norsworthy who was persuaded to organise the event following the success of 2009’s inaugural Bash at Dulwich and Sydenham Hill Golf Club, south London.

The event was the occasion for many reunions, not least that of
Trevor Goodchild, Peter Gregson and Len Santorelli who first met in the same week of a Reuters training scheme in 1966 – and were dubbed as qualified journalists after only four days by Commander Digger Blore with a free pint of beer at The Old Bell in Fleet Street. “It was the times, and he must have been having a laugh,” Goodchild recalled.

Reuters people, some with partners, at the event were:
Jim Anderson, Tony Austin, Arik Bachar, Vicky Barrett, Charles Batchelor, David Betts, Colin Bickler, Michael Blair, Nick Carter, David Christian-Edwards, Sandy Critchley, Monica Cook, Michael Cooling, David Cutler, François Duriaud, Bernard Edinger, Robert Elphick, Trevor Goodchild, Peter Gregson, Bob and Jane Hart, Jack Hartzman, Graham Hillier, Carol Howard, Michael Hughes, Roger and Janet Jeal, Peter Job, Ian Jones, Adam Kellett-Long, Evelyn Leopold, Jeremy Lovell, Sylvia MacDowall, Allan Maitland, Paul Majendie, Helen Massey, Barry May, Colin McIntyre, Bernard Melunsky, Barry Moody, Nicholas Moore, Ingrid Montbazet, Peter Mosley, Michael Nelson, Marilyn Nicholson, Rick Norsworthy, Paddy O'Sullivan, Manfred Pagel, Corrie Parsonson, Gerry Ratzin, Allan and Jacqueline Reditt, David Rogers, John Rogers, Bill Saltmarsh, Len Santorelli, Anne Sawyer, Sally Simpson, Paul Smurthwaite, Stephen Somerville, Mary Thomas, Tom Thomson, Scott Thornton, Jeremy Toye, Andrew Waller, Phil Wardle, Oliver Wates, Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi, Tony Winning, Neil Winton.
